thailand 2026 - kodak gold 200 120

phangan, a small island in thailand, is a magical place. at the bottom of the mountains, I visited fishing villages untouched by tourism. 

the locals are very welcoming and friendly. very few of them speaks 4-5 words in english, and still we were able to connect.

they showed me their animals, their homes, and the places where they live their daily lives. I showed them my Hasselblad camera — how I reload the films, the sound of the focal plane shutter. for weeks, I documented their lives.

they have almost nothing. but they have everything. I re-experienced the honest play of childhood with them, which requires nothing more than friends.

it was important for me to work on film, using my Hasselblad 2000 FC/M on 80mm.
